THE PROBLEM

Conspiracy theories abound these days. The mainstream media has succeeded in labeling anyone who questions them or the powers that be as nut jobs. You see it all the time. A bunch of talking heads spouting the usual misleading information and when someone brings up the idea of “QUESTIONING AUTHORITY” all they have to do is roll their eyes and call him a conspiracy theorist. End of discussion.

These same media pundits could not have ever opened up a history book because history is wall to wall conspiracies. Yet they’ll have you believe that for the first time in human existence there is no such thing as conspiracies.

What balls!

So what is The CONSPIRACY Project? First I thought I’d call it a rock opera. But it didn’t turn out to be one. So is it a musical? Well, not exactly. Is it a one-man multimedia show? Not very sexy. It uses film, animation, music, performance, art, graphic novel and any other aesthetic channel I can come up with.

For now I’ll just call it the CONSPIRACY Project. The first phase is a documentary in song. I believe this is the first of its kind. It’s an in-your-face look at some of the conspiracy theories out there with an attempt to inspire people to start asking questions. After all, what’s a Democracy (really a Democratic Republic) if we can’t talk about anything and everything.

And if there is something UN-American (or should I say, UN-Human Rights) going on, we better find out about it now. It may already be too late.

THE CHALLENGE

The hard part is to take all these theories and facts and put it into a form that will entertain people. Without the entertainment factor it’ll be like preaching to the choir. But if you’ve followed my career at all you know that I never take the easy road. So I’m jumping in with both feet hoping they won’t get burned and hoping that this project will find a large audience that maybe never thought about these ideas.

And maybe more and more people will start to question the government and the media when they censor or spin things their way.
